Knitting updates and more

I love Ravelry! I have some photos finally of the finished clapotis...

And of the scarf that I am knitting from a blog that I found-it's called "My So Called Scarf" and I love the way it is coming out-you can find the pattern here.

I just received some yarn (Organic Cotton, which with Baby Alpaca, are two of my favorite yarns) in the mail today for a hooded baby wrap for Nate's brother & sister-in-law's baby that they are expecting early January...

A bit of a bummer-someone hit my car at work (and of course drove off), so my poor Honda will have to go into the shop. The person got it pretty good-have to replace the rear quarter panel and the gas door--the mechanic had to pry it off today when I took it in so that I can get gas.

On another note, wedding plans are finally getting underway! It looks as though we are going to have it near my hometown-an outdoor, non-fancy affair.....just the way I want it ;)
Started the guest list and my mom is working on some rental companies, so the next big thing is finding a caterer. I have some leads, just no time right now to get ahold of them but hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can get around to it.

That's all for now, must eat dinner and try to clean up a bit before I can sit and relax and get some knitting done--it is now impossible to get anything done on the weekends, but there are only 3 more left!

Ravelry Obsession, cont....

I am on!! Got my invite tonight and of course work was crazy and I am just getting home and all I want to do is start uploading projects, finding new ones, and working through the site.....but...it's 1am and I have to go back and do it all over again tomorrow, so it looks like all the fun is going to have to wait until Tuesday unless we get some rain. *This was a crazy run-on sentence, I know, but I am sooooooo excited!!

Ravelry Obsession

Seriously, the closer I get to my invite, the more impatient I become. It's a good thing I have to work today because I am 392 on the list and I think that if I were home, I would just keep checking (as I have been this morning)....

I know I still need to post some knitting pics...all in good time.

On a completely different subject, it looks as though the wedding will be September 27 of next year. Ironically enough, the site that we are pursuing right now is on the property of a place back home that I spent A LOT of time at...but it is looking like the most economical choice right now, which is important since I would really like for Nate and I to be able to get a house (or townhouse-I'm not too picky ;)- )

Alright, must finish getting ready for work-Fright Fest starts today---11 more days...

Vacation re-cap

So today I had to go back to work and reality...it's very sad, but that's the way it goes. My vacation was wonderful-went to Savannah, then on to Buffalo for a night, and finished the trip at Keuka Lake. The whole trip was so much fun...and I finished the clapotis :)
Here's some pics of my trip....will get some knitting pics up as soon as I can.

Vacation......

I am officially on vacation!! In the day that I have been off I have been catching up on tv-I love the Ellen show and DVR it everyday. Anyways, I was watching and she had this guy, Austin Hall, who has a video on youtube which I thought was pretty neat so here's the link-check it out!

I am going to visit a wonderful friend Thursday in Savannah, GA, so I will post some pics of current knitting tomorrow. I should have lots done by the time I get back (6hrs worth of lay-overs)! From there, it's on to Buffalo for a night and then some wine tours in the Finger Lakes region with Nate & some family...so very busy, but will be nice to have a bit of a break from the norm!

Here's a pic of my cat, Oliver, til I post next....

Stitch n Pitch 2007 - San Francisco

I got to visit my great friend, KnittyNay, in July and we went to Stitch n Pitch at Giants Stadium. It was great-Barry did not hit a homerun, but we got to meet the people from Craft Magazine and hang out with some pretty cool knitters (and crocheters-I wouldn't forget you, K). I was on the Craft page tonight and found the pic that the Craft gals took of us in the sweatshirts we made and I had to post it!
